To display this dialog, click Option in File menu or Option button on toolbar.

On recording

Instructs how Click! Recorder's window should be when recording is started. Choices are "None", "Minimize", or "Hide".

Sound on capture

Checking this enables the capture sound when screenshot is captured.

Show mouse cursor by default

Show or hide mouse cursor in the captured screen shot.

Since mouse cursor is captured regardless of this option, you can show or hide later by View commands

Highlight target with red round rectangle by default

Show or hide highlight red rectangle in the captured screen shot.

You can show or hide later by View commands

Disable Visual Effects

Some of the visual effects in Windows may not be good for screen captures.

You can turn these options off only while Click! Recorder is running, and turn them back on exit.

Desktop Compositions (Aero)

Desktop Compositions, or also known as "Aero" in Windows Vista, changes several aspects of the visuals.

Check this option to turn it off only while Click! Recorder is running.

Drop Shadows

While Click! Recorder can capture drop shadows under windows properly, screen shots become larger to include the shadows. To avoid this, check this option to turn off drop shadows only while Click! Recorder is running.

Please note that there are several types of drop shadows in Windows. This option turns off drop shadows under menus on Windows XP or later. It also turns off drop shadows under windows on Windows 7.

Drop shadows under windows on Windows Vista cannot be turned off with this option. Please use Desktop Composition instead to turn off drop shadows under windows on Windows Vista.

Smooth edges of screen fonts

If you want to print screen shots, and you see colors appearing on the edge of fonts, check this option to improve the print quality.
